I can top all your bad reviews not that he’ll notice or care. Yes he’s rude unless you have something he wants like my mothers double pearl ring circa 1955. It still held one original pearl ( the other having been replaced when it fell out years ago). He put a post in the replacement pearl to hold it securely but then casually said I should replace the old and remaining original pearl to colour match the replacement. I was thinking a pearl is a Pearl right? It wasn’t until afterwards ( like a year!) that I thought”wait a minute! He didn’t return the pearl he replaced!” He kept the 1950’s South China Sea Pearl and replaced it with what is likely a faux pearl (I’m afraid to have it appraised now). Is that pearl worth some money? Most likely! What a scammer. Moral of the story is know what you have, ask questions and trust your gut. He was friendly and charming but I’ve visited since and he treats me rudely every time. Not sure how a thief stays in business so long.

Exceptional service from a couple of expert jewellers! My fiancé and I had an engagement ring made at Village Goldworks. Communication started over FB, followed by phone calls and inperson consultations. All our questions were answered, we felt no pressure at all to immediately fork over cash (though we eventually did!).

Grant and Martha are knowledgeable, patient, and kind. They took our verified diamond and made it into a beautiful work of art. We are very satisfied with both their service and workmanship. A true mom and pop shop!

I have to say that this is the worst customer service that I've experienced for ANY service sales that I have encountered ever. The male owner is extremely gruff and insulting.

I wanted a specific design for a pendant. Each visit the male consistently interrupted and disregarded what I wanted in favour of his own setting. As I had been there before briefly and had work done, I thought perhaps it was his sense of humour and just me being sensitive. However, it is not so. The visible difference in behaviour when I brought my spouse confirmed the difference. His behaviour to not only me but his female partner was rude and denegrating.
In the course of the consultations, he consistently insisted in the setting of his choice despite repeatedly being told I did not want it, the initial consult, the fee was agreed upon at $100, it changed to $200 without any changes or modifications to design. We purchased a chain and left it with the shop for safe keeping. When we decided to no longer continue proceeding with the design we were told that we did not do so. We were called liars and troublemakers and ordered out of the shop. Much to our surprise and validation, a day later we were called by the male owners partner, who was very apologetic as the chain was found on a workbench shortly after we had left. We recieved no apology from the man himself.

I went because the work is good and local. I will not return or suggest to use because the behaviour of the male owner. I would reccomend going elsewhere.

It has been said that you can get robbed by a cash register quicker than a gun. Should you go to this store you will soon find out how. The male behind the counter was rude and dismissive using his wife as a scapegoat. He is condescending and a bully when challenged and a thief. Please, and this only my opinion please !!!! please!!!! do not trust this man. Do not let your shadow grace his door. In my short conversation with him he had expressed how all the other jewelers in Belleville were crooks while once again, he himself is the biggest of all. I am choosing one star only because I can't post otherwise!!!!!

Wow they did a wonderful job sizing a vintage ring of my mom's...not an ordinary ring, but they sure had the expertise, and did an amazing job. Will definitely be returning for any future jewelry needs!

I inquired about lab grown diamonds and I was advised on cubic's which are crystals and not lab grown diamonds. I was curious about if they had Canadian grown diamonds or at least from a western country and was advised that "they are grown wherever man". After the phone connection went bad for a moment and the owner thought the line was cut I heard him laugh with his partner about my question of where the diamonds were made.

I didnt feel like they really wanted to sell me their product or really cared much at all. I think they were quite unprofessional in that regard.

My boyfriend went in here to buy me a ring and spoke with the wife last week who was very nice and helpful. Then went he went back in to actually purchase the ring Saturday the husband was EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! He was condescending and zero customer service skills. If you can’t be friendly in the customer service field it’s time to change your profession buddy. Maybe go and clean some septic tanks or Johnny on the spots!!! Ah well clearly that ring wasn’t meant for me!!!
Note to self buddy... you’re going to lose ALOT OF BUSINESS!

Found this shop while in town visiting friends and the fact that I went back 3 times should tell you what you need to know! The prices were more than fair the 2 owners were extremely helpful and kind and I had an overall great experience and am very pleased with my purchases!
