Would highly recommend The Foundry's private event space. We booked the space for our staff get together. They have an excellent catering menu that we were able to tailor to our group and they set the space up beautifully to accommodate us!. We chose buffet style and the food was delightful. We can't say thanks enough to Chef Rick, Nancy and our server Mac!

Excellent food and service by Tianna! We started with the vegetarian egg rolls, and had the chicken club sandwich and shrimp fajitas. I highly recommend checking this place out. We sat on the patio near the gate so we could tie our dog up (though dogs are not allowed inside the patio). Beautiful interior. Very clean and modern.

The Foundry was an amazing experience all around. Our server, Chris, did an exceptional job of serving and giving us ideas of what's best on the menu. The Parmesan Chicken platter did not disappoint. Will definitely be back.

The versatile, classic decor means that whether stopping here for lunch in your work clothes or looking for a date night with your special someone, you won't be out of place here.
My server was a bit inattentive, but I noticed she seemed to be the exception. The garden salad with grilled chicken was ample and of the freshest ingredients. A treat of turtle cheesecake and coffee made lunch a celebration. I wished I had time to come back and try their other tempting desserts.

Had the pleasure of visiting the newest addition to Durham. For apps we ordered the Honey Garlic - Monster Roaster Wings & Signature Egg Rolls… the wings were cooked perfectly! Our main entrees we chose the Harvest Moon Medley (a bit spicy) and Hunter Style Chicken (chicken was not dry & the ragu was amazing). Thing to note.. everything tasted as if it was freshly made and not processed! Great job chef!! And for dessert we ordered both the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Pie (decadent) and the Molten Sticky Toffee Pudding (I’ll be ordering this again). Overall, we will definitely be coming back. The staff was amazing & the place looks great... a special shout out to our waitress, Kentaya, who was super friendly and made sure we were well taken care of despite how busy it got.

Typically, restaurant gluten free food is disappointing. The Foundry has numerous GF options and a chef that truly understands the eating challenges for people with celiac disease. I have only eaten at the Foundry twice but both meals were delicious and not typical GF options menu items, so it was a real treat! The first visit I had fettuccine alfredo--delicious with tender pasta that tasted homemade. The second visit I had fish and chips--crispy battered, fried fish--another rare GF option (dedicated GF fryer).

My meal companions were not GF, were happy with the unique menu selection and features, and all enjoyed their meals.

The hostess and waitstaff were efficient, knowledgeable and very friendly.

This is definitely a restaurant to visit.

Service was great but food was horrible. Fish was rubbery and small. Minimal fries that tasted musty. Not worth 24$ Chef also “forgot to make”our appetizer before bringing food out. Can’t even blame it being busy cause it wasn’t even at half capacity.

Stopped by The Foundry 1872 for a 10 year anniversary celebration with my wife.

The food was incredible, service was fantastic, food was out in no time. I had the Whiskey Bacon Burger, which is hands down the best burger. Our egg roll appetizer was excellent and we loved the fresh take on a classic.

Rick and Nancy even brought us out a chocolate layered cake for our special occasion.

Excellent spot . Excellent people.
