It took an obnoxious member of staff 3 and a half hours to unload my trailer!.... Do they think that we have all day just for them? I'll never deliver there ever again. Shocking.

Bought some Tanalised wood for a decking project during the Covid-19 lockdown. Was advised by those answering the phones to email in my query. After a few exchanges, I was able to place an order that was delivered at 11am Monday the week I was advised it would be. Very happy with the service, and despite a few warped boards (to be expected) everything was as it should be. Would recommend them based on my experience, and will use them again should I decide to do some more decking.

We have just driven here from Middleton to get some exta wood we needed to be told there were all on lunch and we could not be delt be untill 1pm, the opening times both at the timber yard and online state they are open from 8 - 5, no where does is inform customers that they close for lunch!! We have recently spent a lot of money here for home renovations. The attitude of the staff is poor. This place is stuck in the dark ages, what company has ALL is staff on lunch at the same time? You need to make it clear to your customers what time you open to save time and frustration. We still have lots of work to do but will not be coming back here. If you do not want to deal with the general public you should say and be contractors only. Very disappointed.

Congratulations on employing the most unpleasant customer facing staff I have EVER had the displeasure of dealing with! My dad visited to help me with some DIY, and not having a car we walked half an hour to GT Robinson. We had called the day before to check that they had all the timber we needed, but upon arrival were told me needed to order 7 days in advance. Even a plank of wood required a 4 hour wait. . . in a warehouse full of planks of wood. ZERO goodwill - the guy in the shop made no qualms about making us feel like we were totally wasting his time. Try to support and utilize local businesses, but ended up going to B&Q. This crowd have no sense of customer care and community - they clearly only care about the big money customers.
