I brought 4 new curtains here to be hemmed as I don't own a sewing machine. Although it was expensive and the cost to hem was much more than I actually payed for the curtains I was happy to get this job done only to find once home that they were all cut to varying different lengths none came even close to the length I requested , and not cut straight either. Don't waste use this place. The lady was pleasant but the work and the money spent for curtains and hemming services was wasted.

Eva and Arceli's Salon is the best is Nova Scotia! I received a pedicure from Arceli herself and the service I got was phenomenal. She is definitely a master at her craft. Arceli took her time and made sure I got the best pedicure I've ever received. I could not be happier. Will definitely come back here next time! Highly recommended 🙂

The lady who put a new zipper in my favorite winter coat did a beautiful job and the cost was quite reasonable. She was friendly and accomodating in meeting my request.

I will definitely be taking all future sewing repairs and alterations here and strongly recommend Eva & Arceli.

I telephoned and was inquiring about having a neckline altered and described it as a simple job. I was rudely interrupted by the woman who answered telling me that I should do it myself if it’s that simple. Explaining to me that she has to pay someone to do the work and that I couldn’t afford it. What? Then she hung up.

First off, I haven't actually used their services, but after today I never will. I was at the Growing Green festival today with my kids. When my 3 year old daughter suddenly needed to use the potty. We went to the porta-potties, but they were quite dirty, and hard for a small person to use. We decided to try asking a local business if they would mind, given the circumstance. We were greeted, and told "yes" by the woman in the salon. I thanked her profusely on our way into the washroom.
As anyone with kids knows, sometimes toddlers get stage fright, and it can take a bit of time. There were no customers in the shop, but the keeper started knocking on the door about 2 minutes in. She then started yelling at us to get out and to never come back. That we should use the public bathrooms etc. She made my daughter cry. We finished up on the potty and exited the bathroom. The lady didn't look at me as I, again, thanked her for letting my daughter use the toilet.

I understand not wanting to let the general public use a customer washroom, but don't say they can and then impose some kind of time limit, flying off the handle when it takes more than a minute.

Because of the way my daughter and I were treated, we will never be using the services this shop offers, which is sad, because when we first entered, I thought I would try to find something to bring in for alteration, or send my husband for a haircut. Not with that kind of service. Anyone who takes it upon themselves to make a 3 year old cry doesn't deserve my business.
