Terrible – just absolutely terrible.

I have a GE profile dishwasher that is not much more than a year old. It is venting large amounts of steam off the left side of the unit, directly into my wooden cabinetry and has caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to the wood.

The techs, who have been out to my home 3 times (GE’s prerogative, not mine), continue to tell me that the dishwasher is operating completely normally and they have no idea why my cabinets are being ruined. They have stated that venting steam directly into hidden cabinetry areas is a completely normal part of the operation of my dishwasher. Clearly, it doesn’t take a scientist to discern steam/moisture and wood do not mix.

The cabinets have been perfectly fine since 1996 when my house was built and multiple other dishwashers have been in the same location with zero problems.

The tech who came today, Eugene, literally spent less than 60 seconds in my house and said that he “Won’t be coming back“ and that he wasn’t a “Wood expert” so he had no idea why my cabinets were being destroyed.

The tech who came the second time, Kyle, never took his boots off, got salt on my floors, and caused further damage to the sides of my wooden painted cabinetry by carelessly hitting the dishwasher against the sides of the cabinets while removing and reinstalling it. This will be at least a couple of hundred dollars more that I will have to pay in trim repair/new paint in addition to the multiple thousands of dollars worth of damage caused by the steam. Pictures attached.

Between GE corporate and Bodewell, it has been an absolutely horrific experience and I will be buying another appliance brand in the future.

Stay far away from GE and Bodewell if you value your time and financial investments.

Defective Refrigerator... terrible tech experience. Brand new . Still doesn't have any water functions. 1/12/2025.... reply for owner(1/13/2025... this issue has been going on since our first use of Refrigerator on 11/25/2024 we have customer complaint #15343364 if you would like to have the info... the first tech sent out was totally unprofessional, rude, reschedule was not completed be cause I was in garage when tech called . I called back within 10 minutes to be informed that I had to reschedule AGAIN ( really). We were scheduled/ called at ar ound 8 am. ( informed that tech couldn't return at any time that day (really).We have no confidence in this service to this point. This issue has been since our initial installment 11/25/2024... tech said Refrigerator had defective filter installed and no gasket installed ( really)... update 1/ 16/ 2025... no resolution .... but somebody made money 💰

It was truly a disatisfying learning experience, almost a month waiting for them to repair my refrigerator. The took over a week to get here initially, the freezer and icemaker were still working, then the tech shows up, I pay $114 service fee, and now everything stops working, of course the tech failed to properly troubleshoot and diagnose the problem, actually made it worse, and since he's a part swapper type tech, his way of fixing things to keep swapping out parts at my expense until eventually the right part would be replaced, so of course he says he needs to orders some parts and leaves the service call. Two weeks later he comes back with the OVERPRICED parts and nothin! Meanwhile I have been without a refrigerator for almost a month. Oh and if that wasn't enough to add insult to injury, they want me to pay more for their service. Not going to happen, they said they would back off the charges, we will see. I am as of writing this review waiting for another service company to come out and properly repair my refrigerator which will more likey be my next 5 star review.

They responded to this review and apologized, which says alot. I upgraded the review to 2 stars. I am waiting for them to reach back out to me, or I will reach out to them and if they backed off the all service call charges and credit what I already paid to cover the cost of the parts already installed, even though they weren't the fix. I will call it even and upgrade the review to 3 stars. Lets see what happens.

Michael was great. He was timely , knowledgeable and personable . I was stressed and frustrated prior to his arrivals and within a few minutes I was at ease and he even took the time to set up a few special features for me after completing the job

Awful!!!! Been waiting 3 weeks and they still haven’t fixed my dishwasher! Scheduled to come again today, made the appointment with the technician last time he was here and couldn’t finish it. Never showed. Called support who said ”they called and cancelled.” Nope, they absolutely did not. Now we have to wait another week for them to be able to come out and finish the job, if they show up this time. So incredibly frustrating! Not reliable, not prompt, and don’t care to help you! Have zero confidence in this company. Use another service!!!!

Update a week later: still no fixed dishwasher. No-showed again this week. No courtesy call given to cancel. After holding on the phone and finally talking to customer service after 30 minutes they said “sorry we don’t have any technicians to send” and rescheduled again for next week. And told me if I cancel in order to use another service I will still be charged the full amount. So I’m stuck. After almost 5 weeks of waiting for a simple fix they offered no help or resolution.
Again, and I cannot stress this enough, USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY!

My GE Cafe Frig kept Freezing up in The Fresh Section.Trechnician Andres Was very knowledgeable and Experienced Explained Why it was Freezing up Adjusted Temp Settings on Panel and did some Factory updates via computer.Thank you Andres

I requested Bodewell to take a look at my GE gas range. The service individual came on the specified time. But I think the overall service was below par.

I informed the technician that the spark on the gas range does not fire all the time and may need repairs. After looking at the range he concluded that it was more of cleaning/maintenance issue. He proceeded to clean the range and did not seem to bother to diagnose if what I was saying was actually true. During his cleaning/diagnostics, I could see that my burners are not sparking correctly but he continued to proceed with the cleaning. Even after all the cleaning there was one burner that was not lighting up and all he indicated that its just a cleaning issue. (TBH he should have ensured that all my burners are up and running).

I asked him repeatedly that if he observed the sparking issue even once. To which he refused. At this point I realized that he was not really interested in diagnosing and solving my problem. I had to pay a hefty $119 for his visit.
I started observing the issue again 15 min after he left.
Very disappointed, I thought a certified GE technician would do a good job, but I feel any small local business would have done a better job than this.
