After staring at Grand-Seiko for the last two years. For graduation I decide to get myself a gift and 1881 by Diamond Design was the best option I could find across Canada.

After contacting them, they offered me a FANTASTIC deal, it was an absolute pleasure speaking with their General Manager and he helped me through the whole process.

I absolutely recommend them, the service I was provided was excellent and you can tell they appreciate the customer. The deal and gifts they offered me was the cherry on top, they've turned me into a returning customer for the future.

I recently bought a watch from 1881 for my husband’s birthday, and I have to say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Initially, I had a concern about the colour of the watch I ordered, as it appeared darker than what was displayed on the website. I reached out to customer service over the weekend, not expecting a response since it was also a holiday (Truth and Reconciliation Day) coming up. To my surprise, Pat, the owner, responded to me off business hours, letting me know he’d follow up after the holiday. That level of attention already impressed me.

Pat made the entire process seamless. He not only refunded the original purchase without hesitation but also helped me pick out a new watch that was exactly what I was looking for. He ensured the new one was in stock and handled everything professionally and kindly. We even had a nice chat over the phone, and he took the time to get to know me a little bit, which added a personal touch to the experience.

The website itself is also excellent—super user-friendly with a great selection of watches to choose from. Pat’s attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism truly stood out. It’s clear he’s passionate about what he does.

Supporting a small, Canadian business feels fantastic, especially after learning Pat is from Newfoundland while I’m here in Ontario. I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience, and I’ll definitely be shopping here for watches in the future. If you’re looking for a great watch and even better customer service, I highly recommend 1881.

Myself and my wife have bought 5 watches from Diamond Design. All have been a great experiences. Paul and Pat are very knowledgeable about the products they carry and the watch market in general. However, what impresses me the most is that they want to make sure you get something that is right for you. They have a no pressure approach. They listen to me when I describe what I'm looking for and make reasonable suggestions. They are prepared to keep an eye out for something that may be of interest or to order something if they do not have what you are looking for in stock. The follow up is something very much appreciated. I actually feel it is more of a friendship than a business relationship. I truly enjoy going to Diamond Design.
